Storm vs. VooDoo
This week we traveled to New Orleans and it was really the first time I had been in New Orleans.
Its definitely an interesting city downtown on a weekend night.  On our flight back we had to be on
the bus at 4am and downtown was still partying with a lot of people outside.  Just a different
atmosphere than other places; I'm sure if you've been there you know what I'm talking about.

The game was good for us.  It was a good game to rebound and come back from the Georgia
game, especially for me.  I had a good game and was confident throughout the game.  We were up
by 20 in the fourth quarter before the voodoo made a surge after getting an onside kick.

The offensive line played well and kept me relatively clean.  The receivers stepped up and did a
great job.  Notably, rookie Hank Edwards stepped in and did a great job after we lost TT Toliver.
Hank ended up leading us in receiving and did a great job overall.  Our defense did their normal
thing and got us a huge turnover in the first half and we took advantage.  This was the first game
when we were playing with a decent lead so it was good that we had a game that we finished when
we were leading.

We finally started off a game well.  For the first time in 5 games we scored a touchdown on the
first drive of the game.  Every other game I started in we kicked a FG.  So we accomplished one
of my goals.  I ended up having my best first quarter yet going 7-8 for 130 yards and 3
touchdowns.  If we can start every game like that we will be in good shape.  I finished 23-30 for
315 yards and 8 touchdowns and 0 interceptions.

The QB for the Voodoo was Steve Bellisari.  Marshal fans might remember that he was the QB for
the Dayton Warbirds back in the Marshal days.  Then last year he was in the AF2 for the
Manchester Wolves and now he's the QB for the VooDoo after Andy Kelly has had an injury filled
season.  It was cool to play against him again. I hope we play many more games against each other
in the future as long as it is in the AFL or NFL.

It felt good to get another win under the belt and get back on the right track on the road.  It was a
good bounce back game for this team and we gotta get ready for next week when Philly comes to
town.  Philly is back to their dominating ways after getting their QB Graziani back.
