| Storm vs. Soul | |||||
| This was a big game for us, not only did we beat a very good Philadelphia Soul team, but we ended up clinching a playoff birth with the help of some other teams. We did get to play at home in front of our own crowd, which is huge in Arena football. We got some breaks as well that never hurts. This game we really fought hard throughout the game. Philly is a team that has a very explosive offense and never gives up. We responded well and played 100% all the way through the game. We got some good breaks including a Touchdown off of a missed FG we tried. It was probably the most memorable play of the year so far for me because I hit the guy as he was catching the ball off the net. I think he ended up dropping it just before I hit him, but I like the think that I made him fumble. Big Lincoln Kennedy picked it up and walked into the end zone. That was a huge play for us and kept the momentum going our way. They did a good job of scoring fast in the 4th quarter as it was getting close. We recovered the onside kick at the end and I threw my 7th touchdown pass of the night. We ended up scoring Touchdowns on all of our drives. That's if you count our missed FG for touchdown. This was a huge confidence game for us to beat a Philly team that is near full strength. We got two games left before the playoffs. This week we travel to Grand Rapids to try to secure a home playoff game and then Austin comes to us for the last regular season game of the year. Sorry this is short and took a while to get up. I've been extra busy this week. Here's an article that was published in Hanover at the Madison Courier. Here. Below are some pictures of our Storm Surge Fan Club Banquet that my man Chris Arnold took. I was fortunate enough to win the Fan Club's Offensive Player of the Year. Never in a million years would I have thought that I would be winning this kind of award this season after getting released in training camp. But everything happens for a reason, and I've been blessed from the Man upstairs. Thanks to everyone that came out to the banquet. It was a lot of fun and good to meet the fans that love the storm so much and support us every week. Enjoy the pictures and thanks again to Chris Arnold. Here is a link to pictures from this week's game. We need to keep rolling and do everything we can to win this week in Grand Rapids. Lets get it done. later, brett |
