Storm vs. Avengers
It has been a very fast week as we are on back to back short weeks to prepare for
games, but this upcoming gave vs. Arizona is at least at home.

Last week's trip out to LA was a breeze compared to the trip before.  The trip out there
and the trip back was uneventful which is very good for traveling.  We got out there
earlier to combat any travel issues if there was any.  Seth Marler and I got to walk
around downtown LA for a little bit the day before the game.  We walked through the
jewelry district and down towards the fashion district.  That was a sight to see, but not
what I was expecting.  I guess when I thought fashion district I thought upscale stores
but it was more independent bootleggers or at least that is what it looked like.

The day of the game they were shooting a movie or a TV show of some type just
outside of our hotel.  It was pretty cool to see all of the production.  I've never been
around a movie set before.  One of the coaches said they saw some signs for "CJ,"
which was probably the initials of the show or movie.  They had some guns firing which
was cool to see as well.

The game was good because we won first and foremost.  I didn't play my best football,
but as long as we win that is all that matters.  Our defense came up huge again.  Our
Dbs played well and our d-line was getting pressure.  On offense we put points on the
board when we needed to.  We still aren't perfect on offense and I think we can be
pretty good.  We just need to keep grinding and never be satisfied.

We were down 10 in the fourth quarter and came back to win.  That is always good
especially for a team that hasn't had the record it needs to have.

Our team suffered a great loss this week.  The wife of our lineback Nyle Wiren passed
away after giving child birth.  That has been tough on the team this week as well.  All of
our prayers to up to him and his family.  The baby, Clay, is healthy and doing well.  The
organization is donating $5,000 and half of all the ticket sales for our final home games
of the season.  We are also wearing heart shaped stickers on our helmets to remember
her.  He is currently on Injured reserve and technically couldn't play this week any
how.  This is tough on him because he has to grieve over his wife and raise a new born
baby.  He has some big challenges ahead and the team is going to do everything we can
to support him and help him out any way we can.  Please keep him and his family in
your prayers.
