Marshals vs. Rome
All good things must come to an end. It's a shame that it had to come to an end
now. This team has been through more money issues and owner issues than any
team should ever have to go through. And nobody thought that we would make it
this deep in the playoffs anyway. However, when you are playing the game, you
think that you should win every game that you play in. This game was no different.
We were up at halftime, more than we have ever been up all season. Then we just
broke down in the second half. Offense didn't play well in the second half and the
defense didn't play well either.
Big props to all the fans that came out to see the game. We had a season record
for the Marshals (5,100). The first game they said we had 6,700, but we didn't.
That was just the first of H.P. Patterson's many lies. We probably had 3,500 at the
first game. This was the most packed we had it all season.
The fans were the best part of this whole Marshals experience. The fans and also
the guys on the team, we had great team chemistry the whole season. But the fans
definitely made the season, especially the kids staying after the games and getting
autographs. Having fans at the game that love to be there and meet the players is
the best thing about indoor football. Indoor football is unique to outdoor because it
puts the fans right on top of the game. The crowd noise is higher, which makes the
energy higher as well.
A big thanks to everyone that came out to support us this season.
I'll keep you updated on what I am doing for next season and if the Marshals will
be back in Cincinnati again. I'm sure the playoff run helped the chances of keeping
the franchise in Cincinnati.
