Marshals Training Camp
Well we are days away from starting the season as our first game is on Saturday March 26th
at 7:30 in US Bank Arena. Needless to say I'm pretty pumped, but let me tell you how our
team is doing.
After about 10 practices I think we are looking pretty good. Our offense is starting to click
and I already have a good connection with our WR core. We have the best running back in
the league, and he will be a huge threat in our backfield. Our OL in solid and we have 2
veteran Indoor football guys leading the bunch. I'm happy to say that I feel protected when I
drop back to pass, which is a good thing.
Our defense is young and learning. I can already tell that they have gotten a lot better since
we first started to practice as a team. The defensive backs are adjusting to the indoor game
fast and we got some talent in that area. However, the more I hear about his league the more
I hear about other teams rushing the ball, which would put a lot of stress on our DL and
linebackers. They are working hard everyday on that aspect of the game.
Hard work is one thing about our team that has stood out a lot. This group of guys really
wants to work hard and learn. They also love to practice. I think that is a sign of a team with
a lot of potential when the guys want to be at practice and improve everyday.
I'm excited about our team and anxious to see how we perform when the Arena lights shine
bright. We have a lot of stuff to take care of in this next week. It is going to be stressful and
exciting as the week gets closer to Saturday.
I'll have an entry about the rules and everything else later on.
