Game 11 at River City Rage
Game Stats
Off to St. Louis, well its actually not St. Louis, its north west of the city in a town called St. Charles.  We are taking on the first place River City Rage who took us down at home by 2 points on the second game of the season.

We were fairly confident coming off the big home win against Rome.  There wasn't as much drama obviously before this game as there was with the Fayetteville game.  They have a real nice arena; its not as big as ours but it was still nice.  The turf was bad as usual.

You know I don't write long entries on a loss, so this is going to be short.   Their offense was unstoppable, mostly due to the good field position they got either off a kickoff, interception, or an onside kick.  There wasn't much our defense could do when they are starting 10-15 yards from the end-zone most drives.

I played good once we got rolling.  I put up a lot of yards but the turnovers killed us.  I threw 3 interceptions, one was in the first quarter.  The other two were in the second half.  We couldn't get the run game going as well.  The final stats were high 34-50 for 376 yards 3 ints and 7 td's.  However, the turnovers proved to be the difference.  Between my 3 ints, and a RB fumble on the one-yard line, didn't help matters.

Mingo hurt his shoulder during the game and is going to be out the rest of the season.  That put Askew out playing defense.  I think he was a little tired because it was the first game he was playing both ways.

Offensively, Jourdan had a good game.  Coach Wells moved him to the inside receiver, which is the same position he played in college.  He feels a lot more comfortable playing in the slot and I'd been trying to get him in there the whole season.  Fry hurt his knee in the Rome game and dressed for this game, but didn't play much.  His knee looked like a soft ball.  This game was also Johnell Wyatte's second game at WR after coming over from the defense.  He played awesome catching two TD passes.

However, my weekend wasn't done because my parents came to the game and we were going to spend the night and check out St. Louis the next day.  The first thing we hit up was the casino Harrah's.  (They have already sent me coupons trying me to get me to come back.)  I guess there is a Harrah's in Vegas that is pretty big so we decided to visit.  I spent about 10 bucks playing video poker and I lost it all.  I'm not very patient in a casino and I hate losing money, so we weren't there long.

I did catch the end of the World Bowl, which is the championship of NFL Europe for all you rookies.  I tight end over in Finland last year is the starting tight end for the Berlin Thunder.  Even though the Thunder lost this year's World Bowl, he still has a ring from the World Bowl last year.
Our last destination was the Arch.  When you go to St. Louis for the first time you just have to go see the Arch, its a law or something.  It was pretty impressive.  If you've never seen it up close, I highly recommend it.  It's very much unlike anything I've ever seen.  We didn't go up in the arch because of time, but I will do it someday.  I was also able to get some pretty good pictures out of it because of the clouds in the background.  The only other thing I would have liked to do was go to a Cardinals game, but they were playing the Yankees that day and it was sold out.   Here are some pictures of the Arch.
There it is against the clouds
Base is pretty small for how tall it goes.
Nice shot of the Arch from inside the city streets.
