| Final Game versus Roosters | ||||||||
| We lost 49-28. The halftime score was 28-21 Roosters. They just wore us out and we couldn't stop them at all. Our offense played decent, but our defense didn't play their best game. Our team was tired and they had way more guys than us. They were fresh and we were not. They ruled the second half. Here's the game report.... The Roosters got on the board first with a run from one of their 3 good running backs. Marko made the first strike from 7 yards out, putting the Roosters up 7-0. Then we came right back and I hit Annti from 29 yards out. Coach Haula wanted to go for two, but our guys were still celebrating from the TD, so we didn't have enough guys on the field. So we had to burn our last time out just 6 minutes into the game. That is not good. We ended up kicking the extra point. Next the Roosters scored on a play action pass from 33 yards out. Our offense couldn't answer right away and the Roosters capitalized by scoring another running TD. That puts the Roosters up 21-0 at the end of the first quarter. Our offense got rolling again and I ran in a 9 yard run as I got flipped over the goaline by the Roosters safety. That was pretty cool and we cut the lead to 21-14. Then the other Roosters running back, American Tom Tucker, scored on a 23 yard pass stretching it to 28-14. But on the following kickoff we had our first special teams touchdown of the season as Pemi returned the kickoff 82 yards for a TD. That led us into halftime trailing by only 7. The first drive in the second half wasn't how we planned it and were forced to punt. The Roosters owned the third quarter outscoring us 14-0. They also had the first score in the fourth quarter. Then I hit Pemi down the seam for a 31-yarder to cap the game scoring making it 49-28. Keep J.P. in your prayers, he is one of our DB's that hurt his neck during the game and got wheeled off on a strecher. He gave us the thumbs up, when they took him off. I hope he is okay. |
